Power of the Network.
Hard work, determination, and talent are all important pieces to the whole in creating a successful business. However, sometimes, those qualities are simply not enough to take a business and brand to the next level. That’s where networking comes in! Networking allows people to make connections that can lead to opportunities for growth. Over time, JULIETTE’s founder, Rechelle Balanzat, has learned about the many benefits that come with networking and becoming a part of powerful communities and organizations.
Rechelle admires driven and hugely successful women entrepreneurs and Tory Burch is a quintessential name in that category. Tory Burch once said, “from my experience, change starts one life at a time”. Her non-profit organization, the Tory Burch Foundation, aims to do exactly that by empowering women and women entrepreneurs. The organization provides access to education, capital, and digital resources to women in an effort to build a strong community full of capable entrepreneurs. Rechelle became a Tory Burch Fellow in 2019.
Rechelle is also a part of the All Raise network, which aims to amplify female voices in the tech space.
Rebecca Minkoff’s The Female Founders Collective also believes that women deserve more opportunities than they are typically given in the business world. They aim to elevate women and their businesses by offering curated content and resources for women working to improve themselves and their futures. Rechelle recently became a VIP Member of the 10th House of the Female Founder Collective.
Rechelle is also an ambassador for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, which has helped her to gain skills across different mediums of business including marketing, finances, and employee management.
Lastly, Rechelle also serves on the board of the International Laundry & Drycleaning Institute where she hopes to elevate, uplift, and inspire the entire dry cleaning industry.
Each of these organizations have different processes, goals, and offerings to assist the people in their community. Being a part of these different networks has allowed Rechelle to build countless relationships and expand her world. People love to work with others that they know, like, and trust.
Joining networks allows you to develop positive and strong bonds, which give you the opportunity to grow as an individual, and business, and then give back to communities.
“In order to lead, we must first learn how to serve.” - Rechelle Balanzat
