Meet Juliette Technologies, The Future Of The Modern Laundry And Dry Cleaning Industry.

In 2013, CEO, Rechelle Balanzat, noticed that nearly everything these days can be delivered: meals, groceries, cleaning supplies, furniture… and the list goes on. She saw that every day, various companies were making her life easier by offering convenient and reliable delivery services straight to her doorstep except for one crucial everyday service: laundry and dry cleaning.

Rechelle was using different cleaners and would call them to ask if they could pick up and deliver her laundry. Sometimes they would come, sometimes they wouldn’t. It was really inconsistent. That experience sparked the idea for JULIETTE. Because she had no way of tracking her order, she would often feel stressed that something had gone wrong. Her laundry was often getting back to her late, or a delivery person would not show up at all. When Rechelle realized that there was no centralized, convenient, or even reliable platform to complete these services, she dreamt up her brainchild- a tech-backed laundry and dry cleaning service: JULIETTE Technologies.

Since its founding in 2014, JULIETTE has managed to take the laundry and dry cleaning services in NYC by storm. The company's innovative and tech-facing approach to laundry has garnered many repeat customers and has changed the way that people approach cleaning their clothes. Although JULIETTE does have a storefront, the majority of its customers utilize the JULIETTE app and web application. People are able to track their clothes with innovative technology including A.I. intelligence-assisted texting, GPS tracking, and ETA updates. To ensure an additional layer of protection, JULIETTE has even hired its own drivers to handle every service to make sure that your clothes are in the best hands from start to finish of every service.

JULIETTE was able to scale the company each year without institutional funding, but when Covid hit, 90% of JULIETTE’s revenue disappeared because the need to dry clean clothes essentially disappeared. Instead of giving up, Rechelle pivoted her business model and after Covid subsided, has since been acquiring failing dry cleaning companies and embedding JULIETTE technology into them to refresh and revitalize their outdated business model.

To this day, JULIETTE Technologies continues to grow and is becoming a leading innovator in the laundry and dry cleaning industry.
