Community Is Powerful.

Sometimes you’re reminded of why you do the things you do.

And my time at the Midwest Summer Conference at the French Lick Resort & Casino in Indiana was one of those reminders.

Earlier this month, I spoke at the conference where I distinguished the difference between marketing, branding, and sales (which are all different, but still intertwine with one another).

Here’s the Sparks Notes version: when you leverage social media, digital media, and all forms of communications, you can drive up sales. Thus increasing your value, thus expanding your reach to a wider audience, thus benefiting the lives of more people.

At JULIETTE, we pride ourselves as the category leader and continuously make it our mission to uplift the industry by educating others on this antiquated world. Though it is an antiquated world, we have successfully brought a modern twist to laundry and dry cleaning – and people have taken notice.

Though this is something I practice and preach every day at JULIETTE, I was still so surprised to be given an award at the conference for contributing to the education of the industry.

It was a true honor.

But that wasn’t all.

Amidst the panels and presentations, there was handshaking, laughter, connection, and bonding (in various forms, including golf!). At the summer conference, I was reminded of the power of community and how everyone in the same room as me is making a difference in the world in their own way.

Our in-person gathering overpowered any Zoom call, Google Meet, or Skype chat.

When people come together, they want to learn together. Spend time together. And – maybe, most importantly – inspire one another.

I left Indiana motivated. Determined. Optimistic that the lives of you busy New Yorkers can continue to become much easier – with JULIETTE’s help.

JULIETTE will continue to launch the laundry and dry cleaning industry into the 21st century.
