Celebrating Purpose The ARK Gala and Juliette’s Commitment to Community
At JULIETTE, caring for people goes far beyond caring for clothing. One of our core values is giving back to our community, and for years, the ARK Gala has been one of the ways we live that value with intention. This past Friday, we gathered once again to celebrate the remarkable work the ARK Foundation does for families, individuals, and communities who need support the most.
The ARK Gala is more than a beautiful night of celebration. It is a reminder of what happens when people show up for one another. The room is filled with kindness, generosity, and a shared belief that helping others strengthens all of us. Being part of this event year after year has become something deeply meaningful to our team at JULIETTE.
Friday evening was inspiring in every way. From the stories shared on stage to the energy in the room, it was a powerful reflection of how much change can happen when community members commit to lifting each other up. We are grateful to contribute, to support, and to stand alongside the individuals and families whose lives are transformed by this organization.
One of the most powerful programs ARK Solves runs is Feed Back, a 16-week vegetable-exchange initiative that empowers entire communities to grow food sustainably.
Here’s how it works, and why it’s so transformative:
Village leaders commit to the program, securing buy-in from families and funding from the community itself.
Families convert their backyards into small gardens, planting their own vegetables.
Starting around week five, families come together in a weekly exchange. Each family brings at least three kinds of vegetables, and together they share more than 20 kinds pooled from everyone.
To make it fun and motivating, there’s a “raffle ticket” system: for every dollar worth of vegetables contributed, a family gets a ticket and a chance to win a prize.
Over the 16 weeks, ARK supports communities by guiding local leaders, helping them solve operational challenges, set goals, and track impact.
The results are powerful: families meet their food needs from their own backyards, many start selling excess produce, and communities build unity, self-reliance, and lasting infrastructure.
Giving back has always been at the heart of JULIETTE. It guides the way we serve, how we operate, and the partnerships we invest in. Supporting the ARK Gala is one of the many ways we choose to show up with purpose. And as our company continues to grow, our commitment to community grows right along with it.
