Terms & Conditions

Please see below for the Terms and Conditions that apply to the services Juliette, Inc. (“Juliette”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is providing for its customers (“you”, “your”). By using any of Juliette’s services, including but not limited to laundry and dry cleaning services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) as well as Juliette’s Privacy Policy. Please review the Terms and the Privacy Policy prior to using our laundry, cleaning, or any other offered “Services” for your items and products (as further detailed below).

Registration and Your Information:

In order to utilize the Services, you are required to register on Juliette’s website or application where you will submit your name, phone number and email address (and secondaries of each, if applicable), and credit card/debit card number (shared with and processed by third party payment service provider). Registration will not be completed unless you accept and agree to Juliette’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. You are required to ensure your account information is accurate and up-to-date. Failure to do so may preclude Services from being completed. Juliette reserves the right to maintain records of your items submitted for Services, including pictures, receipts and other related records for any commercially reasonable purpose.

Services: Juliette may utilize employees or third party service providers (“Personnel”) to complete any portion of the Services as determined in Juliette’s sole discretion. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Terms or otherwise, Juliette will not be responsible for any losses or damages caused by the acts or omissions of any such third party service provider. Juliette assumes no responsibility for any items that you have not picked up after thirty (30) days. You understand and agree such items may be donated or otherwise used by Juliette.

Submitting an Order: You can schedule your services through Juliette’s website or application, or contact us directly.

Payment: You will be charged for your use of the Services. Payment will be processed with the payment information you provided prior to delivery of your items. JULIETTE MAY DELAY, RESCHEDULE, OR REFUSE DELIVERY OF THE PRODUCT IF YOU FAIL TO PAY IN FULL FOR THE SERVICES IN EACH INSTANCE. CHARGES WILL INCLUDE APPLICABLE TAXES. CHARGES ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDANBLE UNLESS OTHERWISE DETERMINED IN JULIETTE’S SOLE DISCRETION. Juliette may modify, add, or remove certain charges for Services as determine in its sole discretion. You agree that the minimum order on all Services provided by Juliette before taxes is $25.00. In any instance in which the order amount before taxes is less than $25.00 you will be charged an additional fee equal to the amount required to meet the minimum price.

Pickup and Delivery:  You will receive communications (e.g. text message (separate data rates may apply)) from Juliette providing updates on the status of your order. If you leave your items unattended or with a third party prior to pickup, or Juliette delivers items to a designated third party (e.g. doorman) or delivers to a residence, Juliette is not responsible for such items’ loss or theft that may occur before pickup or after delivery. Personnel will take a picture of items at the time of pickup and delivery (showing the items that were delivered and where it was delivered). 

Damaged Items: Juliette strives to provide the best Services possible. However, Juliette cannot guarantee against items being unaltered, including, shrinkage, such as shrinkage from improper manufacturer pre-shrinkage, fading, product breakdown from previous stain removal, item age, and darkening water stains. Juliette also does not take responsibility for any deteriorated or faulty items that may be further damaged during the cleaning process. JULIETTE, AS DETERMINED ABSOLUTELY IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, MAY REIMBURSE YOU FOR A DAMAGED PRODUCT BUT SUCH REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNT WILL NOT EXCEED 2X’S THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE REGARDLESS OF THE ITEM’S ORIGINAL COST OR BRAND. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, IF JULIETTE FOLLOWS THE PRESCRIBED CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR AN ITEM JULIETTE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY REIMBURSEMENT FOR SUCH ITEM. FURTHERMORE, NO CLAIM AMOUNTS WILL BE PAID UNLESS ITEMS ARE CLEARLY DIFFERENT AND DAMAGED FROM THE STATE THEY WERE IN WHEN PROVIDED TO JULIETTE. FOR ANY DAMAGED ITEMS JULIETTE REIMBURSES YOU FOR, JULIETTE WILL KEEP THE DAMAGED ITEM TO USE IN ITS DISCRETION, INCLUDING DONATING TO CHARITY PARTNERS OR FOR TRAINING PURPOSES. Damaged item claims must be submitted to Juliette at hello@juliettecleaners.com within three (3) days of the date the item was picked up by or delivered to you.

Delicate Materials:  Delicate and/or natural materials, including but not limited to silk, satin, leather, suede, wool, and certain materials are particularly sensitive and fragile. Certain products and foods may cause unremovable stains and manufacturer defects can also become apparent after cleaning. These types of items may also have issues due to natural defects in the material and can be sensitive to sunlight. Therefore, Juliette may be unable to remove all stains from these types of materials or guarantee the item is unaltered after cleaning. 

Lost Items:  Claims for lost items must be submitted to Juliette at hello@juliettecleaners.com within three (3) days of the date an order was delivered or picked up or should have been delivered or picked up. JULIETTE, AS DETERMINED ABSOLUTELY IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION, MAY REIMBURSE YOU FOR A LOST PRODUCT BUT SUCH REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNT WILL NOT EXCEED 2X’S THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE REGARDLESS OF THE ITEM’S ORIGINAL COST OR BRAND. Juliette does not take any responsibility for property left in pockets of items or bags when submitted for Services.

Limitation of Liability: IN NO EVENT WILL JULIETTE, IT’S OWNERS, MEMBERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST SALES, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, EVEN IF JULIETTE WAS INFORMED OR KNEW OR SHOULD HAVE KNOWN OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR LOSSES. 

Warranty Disclaimer: To the extent legally permitted, Juliette’s Services are provided “AS IS” without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited warranties of merchantability. Juliette does not warrant or guarantee that Services will be completed without defect or that defects will be corrected.

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Juliette, its owners, members, directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents, harmless against any and all claims, costs, liabilities, suits or fees (including attorney’s fees) arising out of or related to your: (i) negligence or willful misconduct; (ii) breach of these Terms and Conditions; (iii) violation of applicable law; and (iv) Juliette’s use of information you provide in the course of Services.

Intellectual Property: All software, graphics, videos, and other content used, accessed, or otherwise made available in the course of the Services (“Materials”) are owned by Juliette. Such Materials are protected by all applicable intellectual property laws, including those related to trademarks, copyright, and trade secrets. You agree to comply with such intellectual property laws during your use of the Services. You may not use, transmit, sell, decompile, reverse engineer, or otherwise distribute or break down any Materials unless authorized in writing by Juliette in each instance. You may only use Materials for the limited purpose of using Juliette’s Services.

Access to Services; Communications:  You are responsible for devices and network connectivity required to utilize the Services. Juliette is not responsible for Service failures resulting from issues related to your devices and network connectivity. Juliette may contact you at times to provide promotional information or other details related to the Services and any applicable agreements between you and Juliette. You may opt-out of these communications at any time.

Modification: Juliette reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior written notice. Any and all modifications will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Your continued use of our Services after Juliette’s posting of updates constitutes your agreement and consent to be bound by the Terms as amended. Please review the Terms in the future to confirm your understanding of your contractual relationship with Juliette.

Governing Law: These Terms of governed by laws of the State of New York, notwithstanding any conflicts of laws principles, and you hereby consent to all claims and disputes related to the Services and this Agreement being submitted to the jurisdiction of federal or state courts located in New York, New York.

Notice: You may send notices to Juliette at 247 West 87th Street, New York, New York 10024. Juliette may send notice to you through the email address provided at registration or as otherwise updated by you. Such notice will be deemed sent and received twenty-four (24) hours after sent by email.

Miscellaneous: These Terms supersede any prior understandings or oral agreements between you and Juliette regarding the Services, and these Terms constitute the entire understanding of the parties. There are no other agreements, understandings, representations, or warranties between the parties other than as set forth herein. In the event any portion of the Terms result in a violation of applicable law, such portion will be severable and the remaining provisions of these Terms will continue in full force and effect. Any failures or delays by Juliette in insisting upon strict performance of these Terms, or asserting any of its rights and remedies as to any default or breach of the Terms will not constitute a waiver of any other default or of any such rights or remedies. All section headings in these Terms are included for convenience only and will not affect any construction or interpretation of these Terms. 

Privacy Policy

We’ve developed this Privacy Policy with the goal to communicate how Juliette is using and protecting our Clients’ personally identifiable information (“PII”), which is information that can be used to identify or locate an individual. 

Type of Information Juliette Collects:

In the course of our transactions with Clients, Juliette may obtain a Client’s name, mailing address, e-mail address, credit/debit card information, birth date, phone numbers, or other information to complete a given transaction. This information is typically collected and processed by a third party payment company when Clients register with Juliette or when orders are submitted or paid for. Juliette does not store a Client’s credit or debit card information on its own internal systems. 

How Client data is used by Juliette:

When Clients submit PII to Juliette, Clients are thereby agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy and expressly consent to the use and treatment of Client’s PII.

Juliette may use the PII for the following business purposes:

  • To complete laundry, dry cleaning, or other services.
    To respond to Client questions, feedback, or other inquiries.
    To fulfill administrative needs.
    To improve Juliette’s products and services.
    To contact Clients for business and transaction purposes or for marketing communications purposes (unless Client has opted out of such marketing communications).
    To assist with improving logistics, operational efficiencies, and client experience.

Juliette does not sell Client information to third parties. In certain instances, Juliette may share PII with third-party service providers performing certain business functions on our behalf (e.g. credit card payment processors, marketing vendors).

Juliette may utilize cookies that are placed on your computer or mobile device when visiting Juliette’s website. Cookies can be either used to collect personal information or be personal information when combined with other information. Some cookies are utilized to help Juliette’s website operate correctly. Other cookies are used to track a Client’s online activity in order to enhance the user experience or for marketing or analytics purposes. You have the ability to decide whether to accept or reject cookies and can make updates to settings on your devices associated with cookies.

Security:

Juliette maintains certain security measures intended to keep Client PII safe from unauthorized use or disclosure. However, no data that is processed and transmitted on the internet is guaranteed to be protected. All data processed by Clients on the internet is done at Client’s own risk. Juliette is not responsible for third-party circumvention of any security measures or other privacy settings put in place by Juliette or a third party service provider. 

Information is kept indefinitely by Juliette. You can contact Juliette at hello@juliettecleaners.com to request your information be deleted from Juliette’s files.

Third-Party Sites:

To the extent Juliette’s website links to any third party website, such third party websites will have their own privacy polices and Juliette is not liable for such privacy policies or any activity on third party sites.

Juliette may modify this Privacy Policy at any time by updating and posting on our website.
